Growing up, Kate always had her hands busy with art projects and her head full of ideas—working with everything from wood and paint to paper and ink. Her perfectionism and focus to detail often resulted in hours spent finishing one project. Family and friends began commissioning Kate to create greeting cards when she was 12 years old. Since these humble beginnings, Kate has completed two degrees—a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Oregon State University and a Master of Science in Communications & Media Technologies from the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York.
K DEsigns symbolizes the care and creativity Kate invests in each handcrafted piece. She takes immense pleasure in surprising friends and family with her creations. And in her free time, Kate enjoys sewing baby quilts, cooking, traveling, practicing sign language, and antique shopping. Written words go a long way, and as Aesop said, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”
Welcome—Kate hopes you enjoy her creations as much as she enjoys making them!
